Is there any reason Chevy doesn’t just sell the SS as the Cadillac S V? I think a lot more people would be inclined to purchase a Cadillac for $45k as opposed to a Chevy for the same amount.

I think if they called it the Impala and made the Impala the Caprice it might make a difference. That way it would have some heritage behind it.

But the big reason is probably because the platform is coming to an end.
